Patriarchia oedipificans delenda est!
I’m Loki of Asgard and I’m burdened with glorious derp-faces.
Did you think I was over the Loki fannishness?
YOU WERE WRONG.
It always comes back to bite me. >_>

Tom Hiddleston narrating an excerpt from the British Museum about the Book of the Dead.
…I usually won’t post stuff like this, but it was just too perfect to pass up. It may be basic information, but it’s narrated by Tom Hiddleston, and that automatically makes it awesome :)
Let it be said that this blog has been added to my favorite blogs list.
Because I have been working on ART. Yus.
Sorry, it’s not Loki & the Book of the Dead yet. I’ll be doing that soon enough. I have to re-read the excerpts I have, if I can even find it. (Anybody know of a text online?) Also, I’m still somewhat recovering from feels from this weekend. So much happy…
Reblobbing for the night crowd! :D

Sorry, it’s not Loki & the Book of the Dead yet. I’ll be doing that soon enough. I have to re-read the excerpts I have, if I can even find it. (Anybody know of a text online?) Also, I’m still somewhat recovering from feels from this weekend. So much happy and so much sad. (Also, Rudjedet, I’m working on finding photos of my outfit. Neither Mom nor I got that many photos, so I’m going to have to pester my guests for some.)
BUT. HERE IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON.
I CALL THEM FANDOM HAND-FANS.
Basically, I picked up a pack of pre-made fans from Michael’s, and decided to disassemble them because while the materials are decent, they were made like crap. I mean srsly, WHEAT GLUE and a plastic pin. That’s just wrong. So I’ve not actually reconstructed them yet, but I’ve been working on making designs up. I’ve got 7 I’m working on, one each inspired by the Avengers & Loki. I’ve finished Hawkeye and the Loki prototype currently. (Sorry about the watermarks)
Here’s Loki’s:

And here’s Hawkeye’s:

I’m thinking about reinterpreting these into scarves. Maybe there’s some profit in this? I just don’t want to violate copyright, but I think this falls under “fair use”. They’re inspired by, not direct copies/interpretations.
MythicSorin: I can just see it now
MythicSorin: Thor on a dating site
MythicSorin: Pet Peeves: Shrapnel, Giant-Ass Snakes, Likewise Giant-Ass Cats, and Losing Board Games"
MythicSorin: "I am interested in: A woman of roughly average height, who is neither a cat nor a snake, who will not put shrapnel into my brain and will not ask me to play risk"
"I loathe Risk"
"Why did you Midgardians come up with Risk"
"That is the worst game"
Tezcatlipoca: Loki's would be: "I am interested in: Someone who will help me trick Thor into playing Risk with me again."
ObsidianLullaby: "Also anyone who'll help me get him to crossdress again."
ObsidianLullaby: "I do have pictures."
Because so far my OTPs are
- Voyager!Doctor/Voyager’s Computer
- Korra/Thor
- Nepthys/Loki
I think I have a problem.
A very interesting theory about how Loki won by intending to ‘lose’ all along!

Does anyone have HQ photos of that chestplate-necklace thingy that Loki wears?
(I shall join the ranks on Friday, so meanwhile I’m geeking out over the costume design)
I’m a jewelrysmithing student, and dayum that thing is awesome, so I’d love to try my hand at replicating it. I just can’t tell its details very well from the photos I’ve seen. I’m guessing it’s brass, but I can’t tell for sure.
The only photo that’s even remotely good I’ve found so far is this. I can’t tell if it’s repoussé or inlay work or what at this point.

If you have some hi-res photos of it, do reblog with such (or submit something to my blog). Thankee~ <3
